My current research and development activities include the following ones:

bulletRESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT TOPICS.
bullet Digital system design with Programmable Logic.
bullet Fuzzy control.
bullet Digital Circuit Emulator Equipment.
bullet Digital control and modulation of Power Converters.

Below you can find a more detailed information on some of the aforementioned topics.

PROGRAMMABLE SYSTEM DESIGN WITH PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC

The term "Programmable Logic" comprise the following circuits:

        - Programmable Logic Devices (PLDs).

        - Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).

In this line, I am working in the following topics:

bulletPLDs and FPGA architectural studies.
bullet

Safety and reliability of programmable industrial control systems.

bullet

FPGA based fuzzy controllers for their application in automobile DC-DC switched converters.

bulletApplication development.
bulletDevelopment of teaching equipment.
bulletPhoto 1: FPGA board.
bulletPhoto 2: Emulator board.

If you need to implement a digital system in a PLD or FPGA and you don't have the tools, the knowledge or the time needed, you can check the services page.

I also recommend you to check the page dedicated to PLDs and FPGAs.

"FUZZY CONTROL

Fuzzy control uses a natural language to describe the behaviour of the control systems. The resultant description is closer to the human reasoning than other description techniques usually employed.

Within this development line, I have worked in the following topics:

bulletApplication development.
bulletDevelopment of teaching equipments.
bulletPhoto 1: Inside of the equipment. Upper board.
bulletPhoto 2: Inside of the equipment. Lower board.
bulletPhoto 3: Front of the equipment.

I also recommend you to check the page dedicated to  fuzzy control.

DIGITAL CIRCUITS EMULATOR

This equipment is based on Programmable Logic. That is why, to check the behaviour of the basic digital circuits, you don't need to mount nor wire the series 74xx circuits.

You only have to select the type of the circuit you want to test. Automatically this circuit is selected and you can check its behaviour inmediately through the use of switches and LEDs.

¿ Do you want to know more about this equipment ?. If you are professor or instructor in Basci Digital Electronics or if you distribute teaching equipments, you might be interested in knowing more about this equipment:

bulletBrief description of the Emulator.
bulletDigital Circuits Emulator photograph.
bulletDetailed Emulator description.

This equipment has been patented in Spain with patent number P 200000342.
